The classic Spanish Maria biscuit, made without sugar. Plain, lightly crisp and made for dunking in tea or coffee. This is the single 200 g roll.

Ingredients: wheat flour, sweetener (maltitol), vegetable oil (high oleic sunflower) 10%, oligofructose, raising agents (sodium hydrogen carbonate, ammonium hydrogen carbonate), salt, emulsifier (soya lecithin), flavourings, antioxidant (sodium metabisulfite).
Allergens: contains wheat, soya and sulfites (sodium metabisulfite). May contain traces of sesame, milk and mustard.
Nutrition (per 100 g): 408 cal · 11 g fat · 1.3 g saturated · 75 g carbohydrate · under 0.5 g sugars · 4.5 g fibre · 7 g protein · 1 g salt. Per 5 cookies (30 g): about 120 cal and 6 g sugar alcohol.

Halal: no certification is claimed. No animal-derived ingredients — no gelatin, whey, egg, animal fat, carmine or shellac, and no E471. Gullón carry the European Vegetarian Union’s V-Label VEGAN on the European packs, though not on the US artwork.
Storage: cool, dry place.

The roll is marked Source of Fibre and made with high oleic sunflower oil.

Excessive consumption may produce laxative effects. Printed on the European pack; some US importer labels leave it off, but it is true of the product at this polyol level either way.
